But, to get a place, I would have had to register at least a year ago , and at that time I didn´t even know that I would be coming here anyway...

September 2nd Where to start? Bostaden!

- Hej guys! I´m looking for a room, do you have an idea where to start searching?
- Have you checked if Bostaden has anything available?
- No, what does Bostaden mean?
- It´s a housing company in Umeå, the biggest on the real-estate market. But hurry up,   they have a waiting system, that depends on your register date! The sooner you register, the more likely you are to get a place.

This is Umeå University, my new alma mater for the next few years:

Here I come!  ...where will I put all of my stuff? I need a roof over my head...

I´ll have to find something on my own, universities don´t provide any housing, unless you are an exchange student. It´s the beginning of a school semester, and some of my classmates are still in a hostel, trying to find their room. Let´s get the quest started, then!
