I am an architecture student, working on a project dealing with student housing in Umea,

and I have some questions that would be really helpful if you would be so kind to answer, through e-mail or even better in person, if you can choose a representative with whom I could talk about these issues:

- Are there any new housing units built at the moment/ being planned to be built in the future?  

 How many, and in which locations? How many of them are student housings?

- How are the spaces designed? Do you employ architects in your firm, or do you choose different architecture offices?

I would really appreciate if you could find some time and talk with me about the issue,

At the moment VI are building 4 houses with 229 apartments in Öbacka

We are planning to build two houses with 46 apartments near campus with start in the beginning of 2014. After that we are planning to build about 150-200 apartments/year

We build small apartments that suits students, but we doesn’t build houses designed only for students

- How are the spaces designed? Do you employ architects in your firm, or do you choose different architecture offices?

 It is various designs, but we mostly build small apartments with one or two rooms

 We have only engineers the architects comes from different architecture offices

I would really appreciate if you could find some time and talk with me about the issue,
